Chicken Biryani

Ingredients:
2 cups Basmati Rice
1 kg Chicken Pieces
1 cup Yogurt (curd)
3 sliced onion
1 tsp Ginger Paste
1 tsp Garlic Paste
2 Tomato Chopped
2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Roasted cumin powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
Few Green Mint Leaves
1 tsp cumin
2 Bay leaves
Salt to taste
7 tbsp Oil

For Garam Masala powder –
2 Green Cardamom
1 inch Cinnamon
4-5 Black pepper
Saffron a pinch

Method:
Mix yogurt, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, roasted cumin powder, garam masala, coriander powder and salt and Stir well.
Marinate the chicken with the mixture and keep for 30 minutes.
Wash rice and soak in water for 15 to 20 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan. Then Fry the onions until golden brown.
Add the marinated chicken and then add tomato and cook for 15 minutes until the chicken well cooked.
When the chicken done then keep them aside.
Keep a pressure cooker on Heat and put oil in the cooker and put the bay leaves and cumin then put the rice and fry them for 2 min.
Add chicken into rice and mix well then add 4 cups water.
Pressure cook the rice.
Garnish with green mint leaves and serve hot with Raita.
